gay for dragons is a seattle-based independent record label dedicated to shedding light on underexposed and underrepresented artists. we are a group of dedicated musicians, music fans and audio engineers interested in exploring music as an art as well as pushing the boundaries of genre classification.
the humble beginning of gay for dragons records lies in the month of may 2007, at a high school music talent show. out of boredom and a shared desire to damage people's hearing, seth hover, zach wise, dan stuen, and casey nolan formed grindcore band tuten allen at the last minute, and proceeded to slaughter the ears of an entire school cafeteria. that summer, they changed their name to hogtied suicide and began recording material on and off every few months. as time went on, these young aspiring musicians began to expand their repertoires to include various other projects, and it became evident that rather than seeking a major label, they should just form their own.
so they did.
zach wise is not interested in becoming a half-and-half bukkake director, but thank you for your concern.
with a background in multiple computer-based art programs, zach is a skilled designer and illustrator. his previous work includes freelance cartooning and page layout for calendar and school planner production companies.
