we're back! kind of!
gfd records is under new management, except its the same people i guess so whatever! we'll be adding a bunch of new releases to the site, and some new artists to the roster. also a few of them have moved to our sister label precious records. a lot of our back catalogue will soon be available for free digital download, so stay tuned!

our dear friend, mr. shoes for bears, has updated his website. it is a grand and noble gesture that now includes multiple songs and a colorful image. please be careful with it. it is very fragile.

break!
oh dear. it sure has been a while. we lost FTP access during a complicated robbery of internets. now we have it again! unfortunately, not much is going on in the GFD stratosphere. hogtied suicide is working on some new songs (titles include 'trainwreck', 'piss bucket rapist' and '1474'), substandard should have an album or something sometime soon pending production, and augural master is toiling away at a new drone/noise experiment.

the gang here at has been hard at work and now there are ripe fruits fresh from Our Labor Farms! coming this week, substandard and gay for dragons will have beautifully crafted handscreened shirts for sale at the low, low cost of ten dollars per. check the store in a few days to see action shots and to order these lovely specimens.

hogtied suicide
grindcore superstars hogtied suicide have been hard at work on their new record, sadistic inhumanity. most of the recording has been completed and mixing is underway! it will be out sometime soon. also coming this summer, hogtied suicide's first official LP, "ectopic". prepare yourself for an aural assault unlike any other!

substandard: better than ponies
gay for dragons' newest addition substandard has been extrememly hard at work over the past few days, culminating in yesterday's fourteen-hour studio session. the bass and drum tracks are mostly done, the vocals are finished and guitar overdubs are happening later this week.
the first single will be released in may, featuring "walking so fast" and a few non-album tracks. the album will follow later in may, closer to their show at the bit in ballard. check out their mysapce (right here) for show info. you might as well add them too.
